Why Graphic Streetwear Needs Special Care
Graphic hoodies and printed tees are more delicate than plain basics because the surface design is part of the garment. Print ink, rhinestones, glue print, puff print, heat-transfer areas and washed fabric can all be damaged by heat, friction, bleach, soaking or direct ironing.
Turn the garment inside out, wash with cold or room-temperature water under 30°C, use mild detergent, avoid bleach, avoid long soaking, do not scrub the print, use hand wash or a delicate cycle, skip the dryer, air dry in shade and never iron directly over graphics or rhinestones.
Care Rule 1: Protect the Print Before Washing
The first rule from the client guide is simple: wash from the inside. This reduces friction between the print surface, the washing machine wall and other clothing.
Care Rule 2: Avoid Heat, Bleach and Harsh Friction
Use cold water or water below 30°C. Avoid bleach, strong alkaline detergents, disinfectant, dryer heat and direct sunlight. These are the fastest ways to fade graphics, weaken glue or change the garment shape.
